Curtis Schoenthaler

Founder and owner of Fiddlehead Gardens, Curtis has over a decade of garden and landscape experience.  Although inspired by the Iowa prairie, he didn't begin landscaping until leaving the Midwest and landing in Seattle in 2003. A desire to explore his personal creativity led him to start Fiddlehead Gardens after his return to Iowa City in 2006.  Over the years, Fiddlehead Gardens has found its footing as a leader in natural hardscaping, utilizing stones found right here in our state.

Dalton

Dalton has been working with Fiddlehead Gardens since 2013. His dad was a landscaper as well, so you could say that the green industry is in his blood. His favorite part about landscaping is working with that beautiful Anamosa limestone. When he's not producing art in the field, you can find him making art with pen and paper at his home in Williamsburg.

Christian

Christian began working for Fiddlehead Gardens in 2014. He loves driving big machines and lifting stone. His favorite part of landscaping is turning a disaster into a masterpiece. Before joining the industry, he spent time farming. In his free time, you can find him riding ATV's, dirt bikes, fishing and spending time with his girlfriend.

Elliot

Elliot joined the Fiddlehead team in 2017. He has always had an interest in landscaping and was excited to join friends Dalton and Christian in the field. He loves running equipment and seeing a work of art come to life in front of his eyes. Elliot enjoys riding dirt bikes, hanging out with friends and spending time with his pit bull and border collie on his time off.

Landscaping is a strong industry right now, and as design trends change, so will we.
